Project Description

The mission was to represent on a plate a Lebanese icon from the last 150 years. Gibran is for me the most prominent representative of our culture. I believe that he is very much linked to his native land and was also able to adapt elsewhere. He represents the ability of most Lebanese to be in their heart here and there at the same time while finding the way to success. He is for me the one and only character who can be taught in any language, every age and every where. His wisdom and sense of humanity will stay forever in our minds … to be followed by generations to come

As for the symbolism of the colors, blue is the sky, no limits no borders for the mind. Green is the color of nature and of course our national Cedar. This is the spirit of Gibran, here and there suggested by simple lines and true colors.
