Project Description
Gemmayze, Lebanon
You may remember the movie “Charlie et la chocolaterie”, well this place looks like a movie set!
It all started with with the vintage red machine & logo that inspired the whole concept.
The space is defined by 3 colors: Burgundy red, Black & White. The black color is an echo to the industrial aspect of the space found in the metal beam & pulley while the white color creates a strong contrast and enlighten the whole space. The main color is red, linking the 3 rooms and declined into burgundy red for the exhibition bar.
This heritage premise is a nice example of modern craft and traditional architecture, respecting the historical landmark, using old tiles and bright colors, celebrating Lebanese craftsmanship with the use of “khayzaran” and exhibiting Lebanese talents for chocolates.
In collaboration with Baytna Baytak.
